This time, my guest is Crystal from Nakedcowgirl Vintage. I'm happy to host her, cause she was one of
the first bloggers I've started to follow in this "blog world" with a big enthusiasm! Her captures taken with an
analog camera give me always a good energy and inspiration. Also I find her style very brave about using
different colors, I wish I had the same eye picking these colors without suspecting :) It's time to leave you
with her answers, and if you didn't yet, let's check Crystal's etsy store out.
LIFE
* What do you do for a living?
I sell vintage clothing and work as an administrative assistant in downtown Los Angeles.
- Thrift store shopping
- Road trips with Pete (my husband)
- Dancing
Harold & Maude.
* Which song makes you happy?
Cat Steven’s “If you Want to Sing Out".
* What are your inspirations in life?
My inspirations for how to live my life (which is really my only concern) are generally musicians,
the ones who aren’t afraid to feel: Jonathan Richman, honky tonk queens, old bluesmen & women.
Also dancers like Isadora Duncan, Martha Graham, and James Brown. I am endlessly inspired
by a smile from a stranger. I also find inspiration in my mother’s hardworking, humble, kind nature.
STYLE
* How do you describe your style?
This is hard because I’m all over the place, but I guess these terms come to mind:
urban cowgirl outlaw, thrift store junkie, 50s bad girl, 50s good girl.
* If your style is a movie character who would she/he be?
Wanda Woodward from
Crybaby (I wish!).
* If you have a color palette, which colors you put together to create your style?
* If you have a color palette, which colors you put together to create your style?
Coral, baby pink, olive
green, nude.
CITY
*
Long Beach, an urban beach town in Southern California.
* What are the 3 local suggestions for people who want to visit your neighborhood?
- Roscoe’s Chicken &
Waffles, I wish they made a perfume that smells like this place. Damn, it’s the
best
smelling & the best tasting.
- Cowboy Country, an old
honky tonk.- Queen Mary, an art deco ship that is so fun to explore. I have daydreams of roller skating aboard the
ship’s wood planked floor.
* Which city do you want to live for the future?
Nashville or Memphis, TN; Clarksdale, Mississippi, or maybe Paris.
