analog diary: last summer, this time

Last summer when in Datça&Knidos // 2014.
New ones are almost ready.
Happy summer!

Sunset treats me well...

This year I'm always in between of something; cities, people, job-home, two different decisions...
So I'm hungry for a routine life again, but I know this is just a transition period. Besides I'm working
as a freelance publisher, we have to travel to another city every month for a construction field
(because Türker is an architect) and this gives me enough derangment and imbalance too...
But as I know that I should take an advantage of  this situation, I try to work during the days, and go
out, smell the sea and enjoy the sunsets in the afternoons.

Datça is very close to several Greek islands. There is something in the air of this city, which
pulls you into a different feeling that you want to keep writing, thinking and enjoying the nature as
possible as you can do.

a new air...

I know that some places have more positive vibes than the others. I don't know why...
Now I'm away from Istanbul, in a sea town of aegean part of my country. It smells soil, sea and
it's easy to hear birds singing, contrary of the city life...

There are lots of to do for my magazine's new issue here but at least "time is slow" here.
Sometimes I need to pause time and feel every moment of my life in a silent athmosphere.

Where do you prefer to go when you need tranquility?

Zamanın yavaş aktığı yerler daima iyi geliyor bana. Bazen şehir hayatında kafam o kadar dolu
oluyor ki yapmam gerekenleri günlerce yapamıyorum. Şu anda havası ve enerjisi çok güzel olan
bir yer olan Datça'dayım. Detayları match-up yeni sayısında da görebileceksiniz.

Türker'in işleri sebebiyle sıkça gelmek durumunda olduğumuz bu yeri acaba sevmek zorunda
olduğum için mi seviyorum diye düşündüm bugün. Ama öyle değil... Gerçekten sakinlik arayışıma
iyi geliyor. Dalgalara, esintiyle dans edene yapraklara ve dağların arkasında batan güneşe daha 
farklı, daha detaylı bakıyorum. Bir tür beyin boşaltma gibi. Bakalım ne zaman sıkılıp, yeniden
şehir hayatını özleyeceğim... :)

Holiday means...

I'm looking at out holiday pictures taken in Datça and think what holiday means to me.
So, what do you do when you're in a holiday mood?

holiday means...

an excuse to focus only on the things that you love
swimming inside an infinite blue and dream of more blue
reading most of the time and inspire from what you read
making out
not to look at what time it is
an excuse for not answering the phones
taking more sunset pictures
writing more random stories
eating everything you want without considering their calories
a roadtrip to somewhere near the mountains, and the sea
wearing polka dots dresses with colorful shoes
figure out how beautiful all flowers are
drinking wine and eating mezze (Turkish side dish)
a time to create a summer road trip playlist; which must include Kings of Convenience for sure
feeling the breeze than ever
looking at the sky and see how much these stars are brighter than the stars in the city
feeling peace
