Coney Island Beach ❤
When I read "Just Kids" of Patti Smith, I decided to go to Coney Island Beach during my Newyork trip.
It didn't give me the same sense as in the book, but it's still worth to see there, try Nathan's hotdogs, and
pretend that you're in a different space & time like a dreamland which Tom Waits sings about in this song
below.

Patti Smith'in Çoluk Çocuk kitabını okumadıysanız okuyun!

D.I.Y for your home!
I've never done a "do it yourself" here before but I decide to do more when I have ideas :)
Here are my home's handmade decors and frames. Especially in the following months, I'll do more
because I'll start to live with my bf officially and we want to reflect our home in a way we create!
1. Polaroids Androids: These are all our friends, we took polaroid pics of them with the same concept,
"holding something in your mouth" :) It was so fun and a little project of our home.
2. Where I've Been Map: I take a print out of a world mad then I stick it onto a thick plastic platform.
Then I start to pin the places I've been to on this map.
3. Memories Bottles: I keep some bottles and flowers especially when they have a special memory.
This flower remained from a special concert, and this bottle when I firstly tried brandy in Bosnia :)
4. Watercolor Painting: Me and my bf do watercolor of the places we've been to. It's a fun way to
see and remember our past, travels and memories. This one was taken in Paris, Moulin Rouge as you
guess and the turned into a painting by us.
5. Old Magazines Collage: I love doing collages, it's so relaxing and fun. This one was made with old
mags tearsheets. I hang it on my living room's wall.
6. Table Mat: My mum made this one. It's easy; you just only need to find a felt then cut it as if you want
a shape then make some flowers (with a mould shaper) to stick on it.

First real hello to Newyork!
Hello everyone! I hope you're all fine, and ready to autumn :)
I'm trying to get back to reality after my lovely trip to Newyork and to be ready to say goodbye for my
favorite season summer.
Also I'm preparing for my first own published zine about New York City and
Istanbul. I'm pretty excited for it! And, there are lots of pictures developed, to be edited and lots of
places to be written to my NYC guide which you'll see in my blog soon.
These photos were taken at the third day of my trip, the first two days were totally spent by shopping,
cause I was so hungry for it and I saved all my budget to NYC :)
In this day; we started Lower East Side district, taking a breakfast in Schiller's Liquor Bar; so delicious
food and great conceptual washroom!, then checked Economy Candy if it could be more fun for children
or anyone who has a child inside! I really like the sense of Lower East Side, I feel local there rather than
a tourist.
We also visited Nolita and Little Italy as well, it was so good to see Italian flags everywhere, and pizzerias
of course. At night, after Nolita we went to Corner La Esquina, a Mexican restaurant where you can feel
Mexicana with some Mexican songs playing background and hot chili sauce on your tortilla.

Newyork tatilimden ilk fotoğraflar! Şu anda yazın bitmesi fikrine alışmaya, fotoğrafları düzenlemeye ve
ilk kez çıkaracağım dergim üzerinde çalışıyorum. Bu dergi tamamen Newyork ve İstanbul'u
kapsayacak.
bir gündü, Newyork'a doyamayacağımızı anladığımız ilk gerçek gün...

Woody Allen at his home, Manhattan, 1967 |
"I love this city in an emotional, irrational way, like loving your mother or your father even though
they're drunk or a thief". Woody Allen
this city for so long... I just have some pictures in my mind through some Woody Allen movies, some
Life Magazine captures and black & white posters.
If you have any special tips about this city, you're very welcome to share with me ;)
Which city or place do you dream about?
P.S: You can follow my instagram to see my captures in NYC, if you want.
See you!
