Abby is one of the most inspirational women in "blog world". Her bakery and drink recipes deserve to be
saved and tried again and again. Also you can feel something Victorian and nostalgic when taking a look
at her blog: Tea with the Moon.
Thanks to her snapshots; I have a picture of her life on my mind as; "she is standing in a room with light pink
roses everywhere and drinking her tea from a 20's porcelain cup" :) If you need something nostalgic and
delicious, visit her blog then let yourself travel back in time peacefully.
LIFE
* What do you do for a living?
Right now I'm in the process of starting a small bakery. I've never done anything like this before and I'm
pinching myself to see if it's real that I get to bake cupcakes and cookies for a living. :)
I enjoy really simple things like finding cafes that are independently run or unique in some way.
I also read cookbooks from cover to cover and I love taking walks on streets lined with trees and
rose bushes.
Chocolat with Juliette Binoche and I can't watch it without a bar of chocolate.
* Which song makes you happy?
Starry Eyed by Ellie Goulding.
My life revolves around creating recipes right now, but even for this I draw inspiration from music and
movies because they stir up my own imagination. Other inspirations come from artists like
Alphonso Mucho and vintage photographs, fictional writers like the Fitzgeralds and Jules Verne.
Cooks like Sophie Dahl, Tessa Kiros, Rachel Khoo, Angel Adoree, and Kinfolk Magazine.
I'm even inspired by perfume and lipgloss of all things for their flavour/scent combinations.
Travelling is important too because it always shows me there are more possibilities than what I currently
know. Even fashion influences me because I like to consider that sometimes people choose what they want
to eat like they do their clothes.
STYLE
* How do you describe your style?
I'm usually mix of vintage and classic things. For vintage lately I prefer early 20th century fashion and
fabrics like velvet. For classic I like polka dots and striped patterns.
* If your style is a movie character who would she/he be?
A version of Amelie Poulain.
* If you have a color palette, which colors you put together to create your style?
Maroon, dusty rose, cream, and black.
CITY
*
On the fringe of London, England.
I'd start with Covent Garden; it has everything you could want in a city from beautiful architecture
to vintage markets and great places to eat like Laduree and the 50's styled Primrose Bakery.
The Victoria and Albert Museum is my favourite museum and has a section devoted to fashion from
the 18th century to modern day. It's completely free to gaze at petticoats and flapper dresses!
And if you're like me and in love with nostalgia a visit wouldn't be complete without stopping at the
Vintage Emporium cafe/clothing store. It is styled after Victorian London and takes you back in time
100 years. You can eat delicious cakes and buy dresses like the ones you fell in love with at the museum.
* Which city do you want to live for the future?
Oh my this is difficult, but I would love to have a home in the countryside of Surrey, England.
I would grow a flower garden, raise a family and still have London and even Paris within reach.
