Autumn/Winter Mood Movies ☁ ☂ ☃

In the mood for cold weather, we are much more into watching movies. So I want to share some of my
favorite "cold" weather (autumn & winter) movies with you all.

**

Noi Albinoi: One of my favorite winter films. It was directed by Dagur Kari, in the harsh weather of
Iceland. I'm sure that you'll find this movie very freaky as much as the main character Noi!

**

Los amantes del Círculo Polar: The best movie of Julio Madem! Once, two long term friends get lovers
they find themselves in a very difficult situation. Till they find love, they have to follow all the signs and fate
all around the ways.

**
isteyeceksiniz :)

Climates: This movie is including four seasons as you guess from the title. But I like the winter part scenes
of this movie mostly. It tells about a relationship which has big communication problems. Here you can see
more about this movie: link.

**

101 Reykjavik: The most sarcastic and funny movie from Iceland. I like the way how Hlynur reflects his
empty life in Rekjavik, while trying to do make love with his mother's friend secretly. Besides the scenes,
I mostly like the dialogues, and the scenario about this movie.

**

Les Chansons d'Amour: This is a musical movie of Christophe Honoré who is my favorite French
director lately. Besides, amazing music of Alex Beaupain, the scenario and the characters are interesting as
well. Don't need to mention about the winter scenes of raining and dark clouds in this movie. So romantic!

**

Chocolat: This movie makes you feel warm! All these scenes, scripts and the delicious chocolate bars...
All of them make you feel good, even you're at the middle of a cold weather.

**
Juliette Binoche'u severim dememe sanırım gerek yok.

Siberie Monamor: One of the most pessimistic movie, directed in Siberia. But it's so worth to watch it.
Especially the little boy in this movie, makes you smile and cry at the same time. I shouldn't give any
spoiler more.

**
Yani korkmadan izleyebilirsiniz :)

The Secret Life of Words: Isabel Coixet is so successful at directing "women" movies. This is so strong
and emotional one among her movies. Telling about a girl who gives up everything about life then starting to
work in a petrol tank in the middle of sea. Then her life starts to change with meeting to a sick guy.

**

La Belle Personne: Another movie of Christophe Honoré is about loneliness and trust. Louis Garrel is so
attractive as in the other movies, and Lea Seydoux's performance is so damn good. Reflecting teenagers'
lives in the means of love, fight, fear and death.

**

You've got the mail: One of the best classics! I don't prefer romantic & comedy movies so much, but this
is different you know :) Let's imagine snowing in New York, everywhere is white, there is a warm bookstore
and a love story between the owner of this bookstore and another man found via a chatting site! So
romantic winter movie of all times!

**

--I wish all the best moments for this upcoming winter! See you.
--So what is your favorite winter movie?

I prefer to see the sky

Last weeks, I was very up to go to Sirkeci (one of my favorite regions in Istanbul) to send
a picture and a letter to my friend who lives in Belgium; so it was a very good excuse to see
PTT Post Office  building which was built in 1909. Unfortunately, I didn't send because it was
closed but we stopped by an open restaurant which serves "kokorec" (turkish food)!

Then it was time to go to see Sedat Girgin's exhibiton at Milk Gallery! I really like every
single art space in this city...When we went out of the place, we met a fresh pink cotton candy
colored sky, then of course we gave it a try on our new wide angle lens :)

By the way, I've found an atelier which produces handmade retro shoes, I'll write about it soon!

Then the last 2 pictures are from our cafe-bar hopping; you can see us in the mirror at the last
picture :)

**

February 2013 / Istanbul.

For the first one: I prefer the sound of the sea
